The Zanetto company was founded in 1963 by the will of Bernardo, who from an early age showed a great interest in precious metals, often "spying" from the windows of some craftsmen at work in a historical laboratory of silverware in the heart of Padua. In 1949, at the age of 14, he managed to get a job at a lab, where he showed exceptional ability, becoming head of the typing department after just three years. In the following 10 years he had matured significant experience in all the complicated techniques of silver-crafting and decided, armed with a strong character and passion, to open his own workshop. Soon he brought out his outstanding creative talent, also thanks to collaborations with various artists: he gave a change to his production, designing and producing objects of avant-garde design, even using different metals from silver. In 1983, driven by the same passion of his father, the twenty year old son Enrico joined the business, bringing new ideas and enthusiasm. Over the following decade the production is directed primarily to meet the needs of the table, with the creation of collections made of silver alloy and sterling silver. Zanetto still has the production philosophy of the maintenance of the artisan characterization: techniques and ancient secrets are kept and renovated to create contemporary objects, pursuing the values ¿¿of beauty and balance.
