In the '20s, in Murano, the old glass models were abandoned  for a more modern style: an important role is assumed by a new furnace, " Blown Glass of Murano By Cappelin and C.", initiated by Giacomo Cappelin, and Paolo Venini, a lawyer in Milan. In subsequent years, are called to design important names, like Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Gio' Ponti, Tommaso Buzi, Pietro Chiesa and the same Paolo Venini. The end of the '30s shows a great increase in quality for Venini, under the direction of Carlo Scarpa .After the second world  war, the furnaces take new vigor and born other techniques such as Saturnine,Mille Fili, the Sidon, the Mareschi, Graffiti. In 1953, Egidio Costantini founds the "Center of glass painters", that becomes the "The Angels forge", leading to the furnaces of Murano Bruno Severini, Braque, Marc Chagall, Le Corbusier, Picasso and many other famous names that will contribute to learn their art through the glass.
